Cost Savings - 

Please note - changes to the QLD solar bonus scheme mean that systems greater than 5 kW can not access the feed in tariff.   Cost savings for systems larger than 5kW will be made at the rate you pay for electricity.

What you need to know -

Pricing relevant to the new "Solar Credits Scheme" (shown above) is based on the current value of REC's. 

We endeavor to keep pricing up to date with the current value of REC's.

Don't be fooled - Many companies quote an after REC price, based on REC prices of $50/REC.  In reality, REC prices are not fixed, so be sure that you understand what the total installed cost is, as well as what price they have valued REC's at so that you don't end up being the one out of pocket, make sure that you read the fine print if you assign REC's to anybody.  REC's can only be created after a renewable energy system is commissioned, if a company has got a higher REC price locked in until a certain date, you will need to be very sure that they can install the system and create the REC's before that date expires.  Latest info on REC's available from ORER's website.

Solar credits REC's can only be created in accordance with the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Amendment Regulations - Please view our REC page for details on the "Solar Credits Scheme" which has recently been passed into legislation.

To be eligible to receive $0.44 / kWh NET feed in tariff, you must have a total electricity usage less than 100 MWh per year (average of 270kWh / day) ;  and a maximum inverter output of less than (or equal to) 5kW.
